rear sway or shocks/struts? low budget.
I love my new ej8. however, the suspension is a little soft. I wanted to lower it with a good shock/spring combo, but I am a little short on funds. I could cheap out on the drop, but I'm afraid ride quality will suffer, and this is a daily driver. Right now I only have a couple hundred bucks to work with, and I was really wanting to put it into my suspension.
I was looking at the mfactory sway bar/tie bar combo for 190 shipped, and it is at the right price for me.
I was wondering if I would notice the rear sway on my 00 ex civic (no rear sway atm), or would the upgrade be unnoticeable due to my stock shock/spring setup?

I figured that would be the answer, but wanted to make sure. guess i'm going to get an agx/spring combo. saving sucks...
unless your planning on tracking it( if you are save up more $$) Tein S techs are a great spring to use with stock suspension. Tein states they developed the s tech for stock shocks, the rates arent high, and the drop is noticeable 1.8"'s or so for your car I beleive. this might solve yoru problem. Oh, and if you just do the sway bar, YES you will still notice a big difference. I just did sway bar bushings (6$) and it helped enough that I noticed. If you want to do it on the cheap, go tein, and get some ES bushings for the front and rear. You'l be out the door for under 200$ then set some bucks aside if you want to upgrade the shocks. the teins will be MUCH kinder to stock shocks than what a lot of people run.
