Default bad valve stem?

my drivers side rear tire is losing air. I tried putting air into it and no air will go in. It only lets air out. Do i need to get a new valve stem? im lost at what to do. My tire is looking really low and needs air badly. Its a rsx on gabs. So if i do need a new valve stem can i do this myself and will ihave to order special stems and if so from where?

this happened to me not too long ago, I tried putting in air but it would just go flat again. Try moving or wiggling the stem around to see if you can hear the hisss sound perhaps getting louder if so then bingo. If thats the case try getting something to pinch the valve stem in a position where it'll hold the air. In my case i was in a gas station and I a little stick from their mulch (I know GHETTO!) and it held up until i got to a tire shop and they changed it in less then i'd say 5 minutes. Good luck =D

If your tire is really low, I recommend removing it (put the spare on if you don't have an extra wheel/tire sitting around) and taking it to a tire shop. They can replace the valve stem and they'll probably only charge you $5-10.

If you keep driving on that tire without inflating it, you could ruin the tire. And a new tire costs a lot more than the repair.

Just get it fixed.

pinch the stem to where it doesnt lose any air, and just drive to the nearest place...where i went they dont necessarily have a price for that but i just tipped the guy 5 bucks *shrugs* and i was out of there in like 3 minutes. Like i said wiggle it around and try to find a position where it doesnt lose air...once you find it pinch it with something...so take like a little stick or whatever and put it in between the stem and the rim and your done =D

Where can i go to get a valve stem for GAB wheels? also since my valve stem will not let me put air in is the whole valve stem shot or is it just the needle?

If it's a normal stem(not some crazy steel one or something), I know you can go to a Discount Tire and just get the stem replaced for free. We don't even make them wait in line at our shop because it's like a 2 minute repair.
