Default ls vtec turbo burning oil

I have a obd1 stock ls block with a 00' gsr rebuilt port and polished head. Golden eagle lsvtec kit. 60-1 stage 5 compressor wheel turbo, 44mm tial wastegate and tial bov with log mani.
I've been searching for about an hour and can't find a good answer.
My question is my car does not smoke at all under normal driving conditons. When I boost on the car and vtec engages it burns oil till I shift to the next gear. But as I go thru to the higher gears the smoke gets less and less. I no the head is in perfect working shape and all seals and gaskets are all new from the rebuild. The block has good compression also. The feed and return lines are not kinked and the pan tap is in the right spot and flows properly. I'm in the process of installing a catch can cuz that's the only thing I can think of as to why it burns any oil, due to the stock pcv system being closed under boost and causing the oil to be pushed into the combustion chamber. Btw it burns about a half a quart every week or so if I really have been beating on it. I no ls vtecs burn oil, its just annoying to me I guess. Any help and thoughts would be really appreciated

I know this is off topic but what are you putting to the ground? I'm about to be doing a similar set up and was just wondering were you were at? Does the area under VTEC feel better than the normal LS?

it could definatly be that u need to install ur catch can to relieve some crank case pressure. Also have u checked to see if ur turbo seals r good?

I bought the turbo brand new from full race. I had the turbo sitting in my room for almost a year before I put it on my car. I don't think that would make any dif but no I have not checked the seals on the turbo yet. I really hope it wouldn't be them becuase I bought that bramd new and that would def be a kick in the nuts

when i first go my drag kit (turbonetics t3/t4), i didn't hook the bov to a strong enough vac line cause i ran all my vac lines off the fpr, and guess what? compressor serge. blew my turbo seal and major shaft play. and every time i boosted, oil shot into the engine and a lot of smoke. thank god they had a one year warranty and i was able to get a new one. it would suck if that happened to you...

check if there is any oil in the charge pipe and intercooler, if so, good luck...

I have the edlebrock intake manifold so everything that needs a vaccum line has there own individual one, and I've checked the turbo and there's absolutly no shaft play. No oil in my charge pipes either.. This is just starting to become a big mystery to me. I'm goin to put the catch can in this week and hopefully ill notice a dif with that.

Right now on my setup on 10psi its making around 350ish whp. It feels really strong for what it is, I have another ls block that I'm in the process of building which will be goin in the car and tuned on race gas hopefully by end of summer.
And for b20vtec u probally heard it a million times but if u plan on that setup with boost I highly recommend re sleeving ur block

Its already sleeved(golden eagle) . Its boosting 11 psi at the moment. Bottom end is fully built. I have a b16 head im about ready to put on. Im changing my map sensor and injectors and may go up a few more psi. 350 at 10 psi is f'ing nice
