EMERGENCY!! need help with OBD2a to OBD1 harness ASAP 12:47 AM 5/26/2002
Hey!
I have someone over here to install Hondata and DSM injectors with resistor box.
Its a 2001 GSR. We got the OBD2 to OBD1 harness but the B version by mistake.
We spent 3hrs rewiring the thing based on the standard wiring diagram on this website http://www.jdmfan.com/technical/perf...obd1/index.inc
It matches to the diagrams in the Helms manual. Only addition was the GSR manifold solenoid for the runners. We checked it over 2 times and it looks correct!
Every time we try to run the harness with the P72 OBD1 ECU we blow the 15A PGM-FI fuse under the hood. Seems to be ok with the stock ecu. Problem is we need the conversion to run the new 450cc injectors/Hondata.
Does anyone have a harness that they can compare with ours? If so, call me as soon as you can 570-888-8740
Or point me in the direction of another schematic!
thanks
Torin

looking at the fuel pump relay fuse circuit, there are not that many things that can cause the fuse to blow. only thing drawing current through the relay is the fuel pump (he has an inline wired in parallel to his stock) and the ECU's injector circuit.
The car start up fine with the stock obd2 ecu--granted not idling well with the larger injectors. With the obd1 through the conversion harness it just blows that fuse.
Could the inline pump cause a problem with one ecu and not the other?
PROBLEM SOLVED!!
was a short between 2 leads on the harness (the power and ground to the ECU!!!)
well, thats a day of pulling my hair out over.
no thanks to the "do a search" moron.
