Default Trunk release lever for a 93 del sol, Will a 1992 civic couple setup work?

I have a 93 del sol and want to add the Trunk release lever with the locking feature, can I use one from a 92 civic coupe? Can I replace the key tumbler ? Will the cable and trunk latch from the 92 coupe fix my 93 del sol?

Please responed if you know for sure. I have found one online and want to know for sure before I purchase it.

thank you

Martin

I've got a similar question, sorry to jack the thread.

Ive got a 94 del sol that im transfering all my parts off of my wrecked 95 VTEC sol, and I was wondering if its possible to transfer the trunk release button inside of the car so I wouldnt have to use my keys to open the trunk.

Let me know.

What is the problem with you two? I posted a simple question, looking for someone who knows what they are talking about. But instead I get you two. Thanks for making my posting useless. As they will see replies and think you two know anything.

i wouldnt think it'd fit from a 92 civic because both cars dont share the same length. The mechanism should work, but you would need to have the cable length redone

hatchback release will not work - cables different lengths.

del sol trunk release from a 95 to a 94 will work if you feel like running the lines.

Thanks,

I am not sure what car it is off of. I will have to ask them before I buy it. They said it's the full setup from levers, cables for both gasand trunk and the truck latch and they weren't sure if it would fit.

Thanks
