i just put a 90/91 jdm cluster in my 89 crx every thing works fine execpt my temp gauge ..as soon as the key is turned on the temp needle goes to the top... i also keep having my dimmer switch from blowing out when i use it for more than one minit after pluging it it .... i have checked my wiring 2 times allready and every thing is right including the grounds...if anyone has any problems like this please help

something is obviously wrong... what color wire do you have connected to the temp gauge behind your cluster? I would trace that and maybe you just interconnected a couple of wires.
