Anyone know how to get insdie the headlights to clean them?

 

you really can't w/o breaking the seal....and then wait till it rains

 

are they just foggy looking like all old teg headlights?
mine cleaned up real nice with some 3M hand glaze (a microfine paint polish) and a little bit of effort

hope that helps -- i hate seeing something so ugly which is so easily fixed

 

Are you saying you just applied that 3M polish on the outside of the headlights?

 

I wetsanded my headlights with grits from 320 up to 2000 grit, then polished w/ 3M rubbing compound, then finished off w/ some plastic polish. They look real nice now. You should take the bumper off in order to do this.

 

No, what you need to clean the outer lense on the lights is 3M plastic cleaner and polish. It gives the lights the new crisp look and removes light scratches from the lense. Trust me it works. The only retail place I have seen that carries it is Napa.

 

yes -- just use to 3m polish directly on the outside
they're plastic polish also works really well , although i used the hand glaze b/c that is what i had on hand -- it is designed for removing 1500 grit paint swirls after color sanding, so it is very fine

 

How do you clean inside the headlight???? mine are all dusty

 

flush it out with water.

 

you might want to use distilled water or soft water so it doesnt leave spots when it dries...sorry to raise this post from the dead, i was just searching and found this thread and thought i might reply... wow this thread is almost a year old!!! -TECH

 

I've actually got small fragments of glass inside one of my lights, i bought the car like that. I assume a little bit of the edge has cracked and fallen in but i can't see any damage from outside. Would i literally have to take off the front bar to remove the lights or are they different on Australian cars?
