Some pics of a pretty slick (I think) trunk

So like I'm real **** about details and I want my car to look as "normal" as possible. My old trunk carpet got all cut up for an old sub box, but since I removed that box in favor of a lighter stereo I couldn't stand just having the wood trunk floor. So I got a new trunk carpet from hondaautomotiveparts.com and installed it. Right now I've got this PPI 50x4 (I've had these retro-*** PPIs in this car for 10 years now) powering really good speakers in each corner. I'm going to make a removable sub box (sealed, probably one 12" or one 10" sub) that will sit atop the rear strut tie bar and fire through the rear deck (I'll probably cut out a hole similar in size to the diameter of the sub). I've got a PPI ProMos 50 (200x1 bridged mono into 4 ohms) to power that. It will latch on to the underside of the rear deck and be easily removable for track days. Anyhoo...

Edit: Oh, the real hard part is the trunk carpet is also the back seat back, so I had to uninstall and reinstall the amp, which is a PITA with a ton of wires to undo and redo (I soldered all connections).

Looks good, What Im waiting for is a easy quick connect for all the wires for an amp. one easy connection so I can remove the amp along with the box.

looking pretty slick Dave.

I'm liking the Moroso box a lot actually...I may have to get one of those for the Nissan.

What gauge wiring did you use to relocate the battery?

Old 2 gauge, it's been in the car for years. It's hard to find these days most stores stock 1/0 or whatever.

0-gauge is overkill unless you have a 5000W stereo...

I'll say. 2 gauge is just perfect.

We had trouble finding 2 gauge or 2 awg as it is sometimes called for the Probe relocation. Everyone had 4 gauge. No luck on 0 or 1.

Audiobahn sells some 2 guage but it only comes in 100ft lengths. Maybe if a dealer of audiobahn is close to your house you can get a custom length cut for you.

Not that I know of. Besides, the owner of the Probe already spent $3 per foot for 15 feet of 2 awg wire. Had his interior become his exterior on the side of the street today. Cops stopped and made him show registration to prove thats his car and we werent jacking it.
