Engine bog at start up.
Today I took my car out of storage and initally the car started fine, idled well and seemed to be running fine until I shut it off for a minute to fill er up. Once I tried to start the car after getting gas all it would do is turn over bog then die. It's done this in the past off and on and I want to get to the bottom of things. I have code 20 (electric load detecter)cause the ecu is a P28 from Japan and as far as I know CRX's done have ELD's so could this be the problem?? I have changed the dizzy, plugs in the last couple of months and still have the occasional bog problem upon start up. The 02 sensor is a 4 wire cause I have a d16z6, now could the problem be the 02 sensor?? When starting up cold the car starts and idles like a champ but when its warmed up is when I have problems, maybe the 02 sensors telling the ecu to fire to much gas when warm. If I let the car sit for 10minutes or so it will start up like a champ. Really weird
Any ideas guys?????
Thanks for your time....

My b16 was haveing a similar problem. It would crank, almost start, bog a little then crank then bog a little then start. I changed my plugs, rotor, wires, alternator and battery just to give it a little more life and i figured since the b16 sat for a while before the swap it was needed. Since then it has started fine. However at idle it will almost studder a bit and i hear an on and off tick tick noise from under the hood every tine it does theis and its a sudden drop to like 400-500 rps then just bounces back to idke but other then that the plugs, rotor, wires, alternator and battery have it running clean
It was in storage for 4 months for what it's worth and it doesn't smoke at all when I start it up.. Like I said , it was acting up last year as well so i doubt storage had anything to do with it. I think it has to do with the cel I'm getting. Here's the codes I'm throwing. I'm not worried about the code 36 as it has to do with traction controll found on JDM ecu's.

It WILL start after 10 minutes....If it were the main relay the car wouldn't turn over at all right?? That isn't the case here as it turns over, bogs then dies....Also I've cleaned the IACV, FITV and I'm only using 1 02 sensor(obd2 requires 2).
Anyone else??
Thanks

look into the coolant temp sensor on ur cyl head. maybe on the thermostat on the z6. there are 2 wires on it. check with a volt meter. you should have 0 on one wire and varying voltage on the other. voltage should be high when cold around 4-5volts. and it should drop as the car warms up to about 1 or .5. if the ECT was stuck cold it would run fine cold and start good but when warmed up it wouldnt start because it would be dumping too much fuel and fouling the plugs. if you let the gas evaporate (waiting 10 min) and the engine cool down im guessing its able to start? i dont know but its worth a try gl
