Default Stock exhaust question

K so heres the run down, i have a Eg civic hatch, with a 97 b18b1 stock internal engine. very recently have done the swap, and have ran out of time to toy with it for right now. So i know its a no no but im running the stock civic dx b-pipe, as i said i havent had a chance to upgrade it. but anyways my buddy says hey wanna go to the track tonight, i say sure why not. so i go and run a 15.7 pretty shitty 60fts though since i spun a good bit. out of curiousity was just wondering how much restriction is the stock exhaust putting on this engine, since i read that my set up should be in low 15 area. i understand more flow for turbo cars is better, but im not fully understanding the way back pressure and flow works for all motor, and just curious how much it might have held me back last night.

to answer your question, it wont make much a difference at all, you just suck, learn to drive.

For your info the term all motor, is exactly as it reads, ALL MOTOR. aka no forced induction. Which is what my swap is, learn to be helpful and not a dick. exhaust can help or hinder a vehicle, i personaly am not a expert on back pressure and was just curious how much the stock exhaust may have hurt on the top end. and for your information as far as me sucking as a driver, i had 3 other people drive my car to see if maybe it was just me and i wasnt familiar with the new setup, but all 3 had ran almost identical times.

Actually with that motor it would probably be a good idea to replace the exhaust as soon as you can, and regardless of what the other so called (tech) thinks, you do have more back pressure than you think. change the exhaust and you will see your motor will flow alot better.

O and one other thing the D**K tech who is being so helpful must have lost one to many races, and seems a little bitter.

1/4 mile time dont mean ****... you can fog the tires down the strip and run a 15 sec 1/4 @ 110mph in a ZO6... trap speed will tell you the times your car can run as long as you dont miss shifts.. and by the way the stock exhaust on those EG's are nothin but a straw.. run open header and see what you run
