HELP!! Did I fry my ECU
So my check engine like came on after the shop put my new s2s2 cams in and a few other things. The car hasnt been tuned yet so the fact that it wasnt running well wasnt bothering me too much but today I decided to check out the code to see what was up.
Well when I went to jump the connector I did the wrong one. Instead of a blue connector it was a black two prong connector and it immediatly shocked the **** out of me and smoked up.
Well long story short now my car barely runs. nothing over 3k. sputtering the whole time. tried to get the code by bridging the right connector and it just stays on. no blinking no action.
so my question is do I need a new ECU??
This is a b16 with a skunk2 chipped ecu in a EK.
Also, after smoking up that connector i decided it would be a good idea to wash the VC a lil bit so when the car was running terrible I thought it may have just been because of water creeping into the spark area or something but since the ecu isnt sprtting a code back I think I may have killed it.
All help is appreciated of course.
also while removing the spark plug wires I noticed some light oil coating down by the base. are my seals not real good? or could this be something more serious.
thanks fellas.

Were you ever able to jump the connector? What jumper harness are you using? Even if you jump the 3P one your not going to get shocked. Something was wrong with the ecu/jumper harness.
won't rev past 3 grand=limp mode,,,,,,,pull the out ecu, pop it open and smell it to see if you burned but that dosent aways tells you something,,,,,,jumper wire only TWO wires not three
i didnt jump the three prong. itr was a two prong connector of sorts but it looks like it was part or something put in by the previous owner.
I changed out the coil, and the wires. same thing. when its running, if i give it gas using the throttle body.... i can here like lil explosions inside my intake.
its just sputtering super bad.

ok i jammed the wire in there and it flashed 21. which ic VTEC solenoid. i think my wire may be lose but still why would it be running like such crap in the meantime.
ok fixed the vtec solenoid. unplugged the terminals on the battery to restart.
hooked em back up about ten mins later. turned the car on, same thing. CEL stayed on though no flashing.
i think this ecu is bad.

well a little update.
i plugged in a virgin p72 ecu and it fired right up but threw codes 41, 54, and 65. two of them o2 codes which i dont have an o2 and the crank sensor my b16 doesnt have i dont think.
So i think this determines my ecu was faulty.
anybody with input? my one question is.... will the ecu just eventually shut the car down with these codes? because it will run for about 10 seconds then shuts down.
thanks

ok got a new ecu, so i know it's not that.
Here is exactly what happens.
turn the key. sputters around 800 rpm for a few seconds and then kicks up to 2500 rpm(sounds normal) then immediately dies.
IF I give it gas while it's sputtering.... nothing happens.
the only cel thats flashing is 41. I don't think that would influence it running like this.
someone give me some ideas.
new wires, new coil. car was running fine then just started.

Sounds like a case of "You melted some wires in your harness."
If you melted that connecter you messed with, chances are wires melted somewhere else. Good luck on your search for those wires!!

the piece that i put the clip in and it shocked was some kind of aux thing the previous owner had. I think to a backup camera.
I traced it straight to the battery.
Two wires, one to the positive terminal on the batter.
the other to a screw inside the engine fuse box. I am assuming it is a negative ground of sorts.
any idea what this could have messed up?
