Default OT: Mugen 125cc Shifterkart

Hi guys,
I race shifterkarts here in the USA, and while looking at Mugen parts for my old Type-R (worst mistake ever trading it for an E36 M3), I found a Mugen kart. I tried to purchase one through King Motorsports, but they told me they can't get one. Anyone out there have an in with Mugen, or know someone who can ship one from Japan? Apparently they only sell them there. I definately want one, so if anyone knows how I can buy one please tell me. The link to the site with the kart is below. It is WAY too cool...

you call Mugen in Japan and speak Japanese to them and have it sent your house. I wouldnt though. They probably use specific parts and getting them would be a pain in the ***. Id stick with a Honda CR 125 motor tuned by a place in the US.

Considering that it is Mugen, that'll be your left arm, your right leg, one eyeball, both of your nuts, and about $5.78.

If I've converted it correctly, thats like $6,300.00 which is NOTHING for a shifterkart. My racing prepped kart is over $10k, so assume shipping is a bunch and its still a steal. Anyone know who I can talk to in ENGLISH about it? Based on what king said, Mugen doesn't want them to leave Japan, but as with most things, there must be a loop-hole. Its just got some really cool stuff on it, like a clutch pedal instead of a hand lever, radiator in the side pod, and an engine that I'd kill for. PLEASE help me, maybe we can get a few sent over!! Anyone interested if its approx. $7,000?

King is the only place that can get Mugen parts in this country. Any other company in this country that sells Mugen stuff gets it from King (marked up accordingly). The only way is to talk to Mugen directly.

Actually, anyone with money can import directly from Mugen of Japan. I was told by my suppliers in Japan that the kart wouldn't be regulated for US karts series because of either engine or the chassis differences. If you want one I can see what I can do for you because like alot items I can import but King can't just due to there contract. But since I'm leaving this business you might want to buy soon...but anything like this everything would have to be up front as I don't need another Mugen item laying around not sold..

I my self don't really care for Honda Kart engines only have liked Rotex engines from Austria. Though I want there new formula engines which can push max speeds of 150mph easy in Anderson Formula karts from the UK. Rotex also makes some really nice Karts as well. I guess once I get my station I will figure out what series I will try to get into overseas.

Yeah, I'm definately interested... Send me an e-mail to JSegal33@comcast.net and we can discuss this... How much do you think it will cost when all is said and done? Is there any other interest out there, or is it just me? I'm more interested in the chassis than the motor, as it has the left foot clutch and a couple of other cool things that my shifterkart doesnt have, but I don't think I can get just the chassis. If I can, than thats what I want, but otherwise I want to know exactly how much the whole thing will cost...
Thanks
Jeff
