869 hp on a mustang dyno
I heard earlier that a car put down 869 hp on a mustang dyno , do you know how much that would be on a dynojet ? I will let them fill in with more info on the car , I know it was an EVO. Can't wait to see what #'s they will put down on a dynojet and the track. A big
to him and his crew.

A while back, I dynoed 420 on a dynojet, and 419 on a Mustang dyno a week later. Same tune, same everything.
They aren't always low.
869 is a bucket load of power, regardless.

the whole dyno thing is retarded, fast is fast. My brother lives in the Orlando area and knows plenty of people who have dyno'ed on CFT's dyno and then on another dynojet and the numbers were almost identical....either way that evo is badass

cft orlando 384whp.
speed injected ft.lauderdale, 459 (dynojet)
if the case is that dynojets and mustang dyno's read the same, then why on dynamic dynos do they have a unloaded function that reads similar to a dynojet and a loaded mode that reads similar to a mustang?

There are a lot of parametrers that must be properly set with a mustang dyno. If the settings are off, it will skew the numbers. Could be high, could be low, depending on how things are set. Generally speaking, mustang dynos read low, but it's definitely not set in stone when the user has to set the parameters.

Yeah we own a dynojet and the local competition dynoed a car 227whp on their all mighty dynomite dyno and then their customer came to our dyno jet and only made 215 whp. Not sure where people get their facts but something is weird there! big ups to cft on their big numbers they are always doing big things!
I went from a dynojet to a dyno pak and made 10whp of each other...
A buddy went from a mustang to a dynopak and made w/in 10-20 or so iirc...
So as stated, they are all different...

dyno numbers are used as a tool to tune at the same dyno at the same time. doing a dyno on the same place, can differ with the weather conditions, how long the last dyno tune was, etc. It should never be compared with the next dyno down the street. There are just too many factors that can make the numbers different from the next guy. I hate dyno numbers.

Exactly, who cares if you make 900 or 860, its a tool that lets you get the tune nice without having to strap yourself to the cage and read the laptop while going down the track.
