Default My long thread starts

Well let me say thanks to those who will input in my EF project. I got this shell for a good price. The body is good but no engine.

Plans
1st~Paint
2nd~fix wiring harness/wire tuck
3rd~B16 w/ YS1
4th~Upgrades:
Fuel Rail
Fuel Press. Reg.
Clutch
Cams
Sprokets
Headers
Piping/Exhaust
5th~Suspension
6th~4 speakers and 1cd player.. lol..
7th~Rims
8th~Boost

i GO TO SCHOOL FULL TIME AND WORK FULL TIME SO BE PATIENT WITH MY THREAD.

when i saw the first pic i thought you were going to fix up a tboned car

nothing in the world beats it. every year after this that you arent working on the crx you will feel empty

Thanks for helping me out C1CRX the dry ice idea worked out perfect. It removed that tar crap very good.

It looks like you have your hands full though. Good luck on your build. If there is anything I can help you with let me know. O by the way, IF I was you I would do paint last. Its always best to wait to do your paint so you dont scratch anything up.

hey why would some one wanna remove that tar from the floor. Is in your way or some thing you are going to have a carpet over it any ways. I have seen way to many people doing it. Unless it falls of by it self i would nt touch it.

i don't plan to put carpet anymore. I plan to paint the whole car. I've seen some clean rides just bare metal.
Also its not a daily driver.

Hey thanks man. Ahh my car needs alot of work too.

In that one picture it just kinda looks like the curve from your fender to your door is huge...idk just the angle I guess.

its sound deadening and takin all of it out reduces like a good 50 lbs...

dont shave these, u need them for a good traction bar (fullrace) Esp if your going turbo

yeah no kidding, you definitely don't want to shave the tow hook bolt holes. Looks as though we may be a little late and he already welded them. Sucks for him.

So much for the 'possible boost', good luck finding a downpipe to fit past the stock cm with a b-series installed.

You could cut them out and weld a nut insert back in.

I guess that will work, just thinking it would be nice to have the option since the majority of the well build crossmembers use both mounting points. Good luck!
