Axle trouble- will not spin or come out after replacement?
Yesterday i replaced my axle and everything went in fine no problems, so today i was driving it and i heard a clicking noise so i went home lifted up the car on jack stands and turned it on and put it in gear at idle so i could hear where the noise was from. Then once i did that i saw the the passenger side cv joint was not spinning but the other side was. So i tried to remove it to see what was wrong and it will not come out of the tranny? This is a b18c engine and stock cv joints. Any ideas to what has happened?

glad to see such good help
to help you out. this is not really the best forum for the question to get answered here. i would try the tech forum. however, what kinda diff is in your car? and what technique are you using to get the axle out? and what was the reason the axle was replaced to begin with? you sure the axle was what failed and not the trans?

Sounds like he didnt smack it in hard enough, or didn't have the snap ring on the axle. Should come out with a decent sized prybar. Probably damaged the splines too, hence the ticking noise. Rookie
