umm real answers please.. only had time to do a quick glance and all wires are intact..
the car attempted to start but i let off the key a bit too soon.. then tried again and getting nothing at all.. i can understand if a connector came loose but its not.. dont have time to mess with it right now.. guess i have to trace some wires to see if one came loose or split..

guess my real question is, is my starter showing signs of going out, or is this just something that split or has jarred loose somewhere that i havent seen yet..
my issue isnt with the flywheel and i know thats not the problem.. a little annoying at times yes..

Sounds like your starter is going out....

Have it replaced with one from a 99/00 Si which is a Mitsuba to prevent the grinding. If you get a chance to take a look at the teeth, it's not a happy sight.

I had the same issue and promptly traded my stock (Denso) starter for a Mitsuba from my friend's car.

your spoon flywheel is in fact the issue...

the spoon was made to use with a different starter than what was put into our cars as Mr. Angel has stated...

either change out your starter or change the flywheel

but the flywheel isnt causing the starter to not kick on at all.. i understand that the teeth dont line up and it has an occasional grind.. so im realy just asking if i need to find a loose wire somewhere or if its just a normal sign of a starter going out or not..

either way i will look into that starter for sure.. just seeing if it is something i need asap or i can hold off till i find one.. this is a daily driver right now so hopefully i can find whats came loose or split and fix it and replace the starter when i locate one..

thanks for the info.. should have some sort of answer by 2maro..
