Default horsepower

so what can you do to a stock honda prelude? i Mean without buying other than air and exhaust . I have a 1988 honda prelude si , Can i adjust timing bypass somthing not because im cheap i want the maximum horse stock before i continue building ? Greatly appreciated

well really anything u do will be restricted from your oem exhaust and intake. you will prob wanna start there.

H22 swap? its inevitable if ya wanna go fast. I remember a thread pretty much exactly like this a while back, ya might be able to find it.

yeha if ur stickin with ur engine, I'd say remove the restrictions and then adjust the small things based on that. You'll have to retune it once you do exhaust/ intake anyway

i race dirt track cars , factory stock and late models horspower does exist
i just dont know anything about hondas but wanting to learn

lol thats pretty nifty i just saw that was a truck lol
uh yes that would be great if you want to contact me im wheresmycar3@yahoo.com i was just talkin to some guys from jdm and usdm about h22 i also found a guy on ebay who supposbly has this h22 with t3/t4 turbo pistons bored and sleeved, aluminum retainers and valves all kinds of crap but i cant learn anything if i get a motor allready completed i would like to attempt myslef i am extremly mechanicaly inclined i just need to learn more about hondas in general but please email me i would like to know what you can get

read through the FAQs......most of this prelude forum is related to the H and F series motors, neither of which you have.

there is a wealth of information here, you just have to take the time to read and use the search button as often as your finger will let you click it

I was kidding. You used the word "horsepower" as if it were something someone can just hand to you, but it's a little more complex than that.


Welcome to honda-tech though, use the red search feature up there to indulge yourself in all the information you can. Then if you have a question that you can't find the answer to, post it up here. Either someone will find the answer or they will have the knowledge to help you out.
