struts from 93 integra to 00 civic
Are they not still struts? The newer cars have MacPherson struts, does not mean the older hondas still don't have struts. "Shocks" on the other hand are what are are currently on my friends 68 mustang, a damper with no spring. Strut has a damper and a spring. Zap!

civics/integras up to and including EK/DC had double wishbones suspensions. the damper in that suspension setup is referred to as a shock most of the time. a strut actually carries the car.

Your friends car has shocks, while our cars have coil-over shocks. Refering of course to the coil spring going over the shock body. The term "strut" specifically refers to the load bearing Macpherson damper which is an integral steering component. No biggie, just though I would point it out.
