Default what type of file do you use on file to fit rings?

i know it sounds like an obvious answer.( any file that works) But i wanted to know what type of file would make my life a little easier when filing my rings to the correct gap.

Thanks,

There are speciality ring filers that are designed for the task. I've never personally used one, but I would imagine it's the best solution if you're looking for an easy method.

I'm not sure if Napa would carry them, but you can check. This is an example of the kind that I'm referring to: http://www.etoolcart.com/brows....html

Your going to want to use the ring filer like the one pictured. Check out summitracing.com. It might be cheaper there. Also when filing right make sure you only file one side and you filing inwards not outwards. Debure the ring before you install them.
