Default 16x7.5, +22 offset on a lude. Mission impossible???

I did some measuring and I think they would fit. I would be using 225/45/16 tires.
I hope this guy sells them to me. I was thinking about 18x9.5 BBS LM's but I really don't want to do the 5lug conversion. LOL I'm convinced I could make those fit too.

What do you guys think?

itll be close
ive tried a 17x7.5 +45mm offset with a 15mm spacer
so came out to be 17x7.5 +30mm offset

camber kit with .5degs negative camber at height

and the tire came about 1mm close to the fender lip in the rear

yeah i tried some spacers just to clear some crazy calipers i used to have and i with 18x7.5 with 15mm spacer, the egde of the tire lined up exactly with the body on the front. the problem is that on bumps it rubbed. the overall diameter of the tire i was running was 24 in and the car was lowered 2 inches up front.

yea.. w/ the +22 offset.... thats not gonna work at all when you install them... from many prelude owner's recommendation on 7.5" wide rims... +48mm - +52mm have had great sucess w/ these offsets...

Yes, I know that. I'm not trying to find out which offset will fit the best, I'm trying to find out what's the lowest offset that can be used on 16x7.5.
I had 16x7 +28 before with 225/45/16 and they fit fine with no rubbing.
I think that fitting something like 16x7.5 with +22 offset on a Prelude is only a fender roll away

What was the offset of the wheels?

going from 7" +28 before to 7.5" + 22 will bring the wheel out towards the fender 1/2 an inch and be 1/100th of an inch closer to the strut.

If you use the same tire size and assume the tire fits centrally both wheels, the tire itself would end up 1/4th of an inch closer to the fender and 1/4th further from the strut.

If you want to know if other wheels will fit, this website is a good start:

(8:32 PM 3/31/2007) 95greenlude: what are your wheel/tire specs!!! they look sick!
(7:33 PM 4/1/2007) TylerC161: front tires are 195 65 15, rear is 205 50 15, their +0 offset, Riken mesh wheels
(8:28 PM 4/1/2007) 95greenlude: 0 offset! they look awesome!
(8:28 PM 4/1/2007) TylerC161: apparently they're kinda rare.. from what i hear at least.. they're not made anymore
(9:54 PM 4/1/2007) 95greenlude: so do you rub any?? or could you go any lower?
(9:57 PM 4/1/2007) TylerC161: oh, I rub EXTREME in the back with a passenger. It rubs just a little with me in there (260lbs). As far as the front, the tires up there are wayy to big right now, but it could go lower once I get some thinner tires on it. Im on ground control coilovers with shot struts(stock).. once I get a new set of struts, i doubt I'll rub like I do now.
(9:58 PM 4/1/2007) 95greenlude: cool! good luck!
(10:10 PM 4/1/2007) TylerC161: thanks man! BTW, i always liked your photos

(10:19 PM 4/1/2007) 95greenlude: thanks...i appreciate it
