Default Dynoed b16a2 ctr cams..

I just wanted to get some input from you guys on the whp I made from the dyno the other day. I wanted to make sure if these numbers are were it's supose to be or what not and some advice on how much more hp I can achieve with some ctr pistons thrown into the setup I currentley have. here's the setup,

-usdm b16a2 with 114,xxx
-ctr cams
-stock headers with 2.25' egay header back exhaust setup. and everything else is stock.
I tuned it with crome started with jdm b16 map and got a/f between 13.5-13.9
the outcome was 159.02 whp and 112 ft/lb. I will post a dyno sheet later.
My goal is trying to make a low 13 sec pass using all honda oem parts for the b16.

that's pretty damn good for a b16 with just cams and nothing else.

I don't think you will run a low 13 with only 160whp though......unless you do some major weight reduction.

ditch the stock headers that will help alot.. also you should do a 2 layer headgasket to get a little more comp.. i did 159whp on my stock obd1 jdm b16a with just bolt ons and stock ecu.. that power in a light hatch should be good for 13's.. but if its a coupe i doubt it

Hey thanks guys. Well I guess i'll be ordering the ctr's and get a bit more compression and re-tune it then. If I do choose to mill my head what's the most I can take off b4 valve/piston come to contact?, I know the modification that has to be done to the b16 rods in order to fit them ctr's, but is there anything else I should do while half my motor is out? thanks h-t members.

I'm glad to hear this.

I have a b16a2 with CTR cams, CTR pistons, maxbore'd TB, DC JDM 2.5", 2.5" exhaust....I was going for all OEM internals.

I should be well over 160 at the wheels. LOL i swear one of these days' i'll hit the dyno to find out.
