Which generation ZC do you have? If it's a stock motor from an 87 Integra, it's not a ZC, it's a D16A1. If it's a brown top ZC then it could be an Integra engine as well. What model D15 do you have?

Anyways, let use know some of this stuff, there are so many variants of D15s and ZCs to know exactly how to answer your question.

ok what tranny are you using? you will need to put the matching clutch onto the motor you want. get it? match the clutch with the tranny and if its all d series just bolt it up. im not to sure but i think there was somthing about 86and 87 motors that was bad

its from an 87 integra ZC DOHC, yes it an integra motor and you just said its not a ZC then you do so make up your mind, and mot is a d18b7. flywheel fits so the question is answered. The clutch to the motor(ZC) and clutch the the tranny(P20) are 1 splin diferent so that wont work i have to use the D15B7 clutch and that question is answered. So know all i need to know is where i can buy one of those cable to hydro coversions cuz im not paying the $250 for the innovative one id rather go out and but a cable tranny

My point was that it wasn't a stock USDM motor. The DOHC ZC came in 1st gen Integras in Japan as the brown-top version. The stock USDM Integra motor for the 1st gens is the D16A1, just making sure you know that it isn't the same, it's a common misconception.

Then it's a D16A1 block with a brown-top ZC head. That's a possible combo between the two.

There are usdm brown top d16a1s also. Go do some research on what you own before you buy parts and ask questions regarding something else.

Did not know that, was that the 86-87 versions? All of the D16A1s I've seen have a silver/grey VC.

OP, if that's the case and you say you got it from an 87, then you have a D16A1 only.

If you're going to put an 87 integra engine into an 88 - 91 Civic, you will also need a new driver's side engine mount. In addition you will have to convert the engine to 88 - 89 Integra fuel injection. The 87 Integra has a vacuum advance distributor, among other things and will not work in an 88 - 91 civic without extensive rewiring.

yah brown top is 86-87. I had a black top...

So has no one told him or did i not read it all...its illegal to put an older engine in a newer car...and its not a ZC its 87 brown top... the dizzy is also different because DOHC has the cylinder sensor on the intake "or exhaust which ever the dizzy is not on"...plus d16a1 suck...find a d16a6, it actually kicks its butt. I found that out by hard experience
