Fuel mileage problem please help!!
i have d16a6 motor mostly everthing is stock. my fuel gauge is always going down when i hit the gas, when i am not in gear it goes back up again. i change my fuel filter, i have a cracked stock headers. Is it my cracked header causing me to use up more gas. idk, whats the problem pls help. thxs.
Probably just that the bobber is bad in the gas tank. Mine fluctuates all the time when I'm below 1/2 tank. Now if your MPG is suffering, then you have a problem.

Also how do you know its bad MPG? or do you mean just bad reading
its my gauge its always going down and back up only when i am half empty. but today i full tank it and im going to see if it still a problem. thanks guys for your help.
My 1993 Civic DX is the same. If I stomp on it, the gas gauge goes down by about 1/5, and if I slam on the brakes, it goes up by 1/5. I don't think it's that big of a deal.
