Steering out of alignment? check your tire pressures
just public service announcement.
did my own alignment a week or so ago as i just put an old set of wheels on and didnt want to mess up the tires. got it to drive as straight as i cared. toe checked in at 1/16" out front, and 0 in the rear with longacre toe plate guages.
then i noticed the damn alignment off again and pulling to the left. great.... did i forget to tighten a nut/bolt? did i nudge that curb too much parallel parking??
anyway, turned out the front left tire is nearly flat at 15psi. when i put them on, i had them pumped to 38psi all around. i should have paid more attention to the one that needed the most air.
now that all 4 are at 38 again, drives straight again.
im going to have to track down the source of that leak tho. i dont want to have to pump it up every week.
moral: check your tire pressures.
