a little paint change to the coupe.
well after getting hit the other day(a week ago, these pics are a week old), i had to fix the bumper and the trunk, so i figured what the hell ill just change the color scheme cause i can and i had the extra paint laying around. only took a few hours to prep and wetsand and i masked off and layed the black ,then unmasked and cleared it all. i already did the hood a while ago,so now i did the trunk, roof and pillars down to the 1/4panel but now the scheme is complete. The black is midnite black off the 02-03 wrx's really nice blue flake. Its a very subtle change from the black to the green since their both so dark, looks nice. cars not completely done,im in the process of knocking it all back down and im going to reclear the entire car again in about a week cause i actually might enter a car in a show this season, but might not. i just need to knock the doors down and ill be ready, car is all dull at the moment. i just got a couple new sata jet paint guns and im eager to lay some clear with them, so i figure my car is the best place to do it. gonna lay some dupont chromapremier this time, expensive as anything, but well worth it. i usually spray chromabase clear for customers and it is good stuff, im just gonna step it up one notch this go around for my car. ill post some final pics when its all done, but i dont get paid to work on my car so its basically whenever i have time at the shop after taking care of paying customers.i have an r34 front end and some mugen style sides im gonna put on and see if i like. ill post some pics of them as well. should be a little radiator thingy in the front rather soon, im getting stoked to have a boosted honda again, has been a couple years....

you can see the nice blue tint in this older pic.

so did you paint the top black, what's the bottom color?

yes the top is black as well. theres a picture of it....and if i put the front end on and i like it with the sides than i will keep it. if not, no big deal i can just take it off and put the stock stuff back on. the bottom half is the stock green g82p-5. has multiple colored mettalics so it goes well with the black and its flake, i stripped, did all the bodywork and painted it this past july, when the damage was done the other day i just decided to change the top half and now im going to reclear the entire thing.

i miss the copper nuggets myself, but these briggs are 14lbs, cant beat that for some 17's....the old ones were 24lbs, and i think the new wheels make the car look alot less disturbed.
and thanks to everyone for the comments, i really like it as well. cant wait to lay the new clear on it.
