OK so my question is why are there two numers to one spring like say a stock EK civic spring rate is:
150/100lbs/in does this mean initial lowering of the spring recquires 150lbs per square inch for the first inch and every 100lbs/in lowers it another inch?
or does this mean that 150lbs/in is the weight for the front and 100lbs/in for the rear

 

accounts for a progressive or dual rate spring.

first few inches are 100lbs, then gets stiffer to 150 lbs.

or they could mean they used a 100lbs spring and a 150lbs spring together. and it will be 60lbs (do the math) until one of them coilbinds (say the 100lbs spring binds first) then goes to the free spring rate (the 150lbs spring).
