There's a link in the Accord FAQ, under the "Interior" section. (7th gen factory stereo removal)

You may have to drill a hole in your firewall to get the power wire through...if it's an auto you can always drill where the clutch plate is (where the clutch pedal/master cylinder would attatch to the firewall). It's almost failsafe...just be sure to pay attention. As for the dash removal, it's somewhat in depth, if you're a noob, it's gonna take you about 1-2 hours to do. If you've got some experience you could probably do it in about 20 minutes or less. I've done one but can't remember how haha, sorry! GL.

I would recommend an aftermarket head unit with actual RCA inputs....but I guess if you want to splice into the stock wiring that's your choice.

If you're going to try to swap a V6 motor in your car, you're better off just trading your car in for one that already has the V6.

you should start a new thread for a new topic. Reason being... if someone reads this and thinks 2 months down the road they want to re-read it and start searching, if they don't remember it was being discussed in a thread titled "how to remove 2005 accord head unit..." then they wont be able to find it. It's best to start a new thread for a new topic.
