Does 2000 P73 ecu have transponder/unique keys?
Someone on here wants to sell me their p73 for my 2000 Si. I was told today not to do it because I would need the special key and other stuff to make it work? Does this sound right?
I have a B18C1 block with the b16 head. Figured a 1.8 ecu would be better for my setup, since I am not at 1.6 liters any more. Have a hook up on a p73 for 125 shipped. Figured why not since i am having a hell of a time finding an obd1 p72 for a decent price. Since the p73 does not look for the intake butterflies like the p72, that would be one less thing i have to worry about throwing a code?
P72 will not throw a code for the butterflies. If you would get an OBDII P73, what is wrong with an OBDII P72?
your best bet would be get a chipped ecu with jumper harness and have them put a type r program into the ecu
125-150 for ecu
80-100 for jumper harness
125-150 for ecu
80-100 for jumper harness

you'll have cel at all times after removing immobilizer chip, thats the only way to make it work. i'm sure theres way to bypass all that and have no codes but don't know how.. you gotta know ecus
