2000 Civic SI

There is a ticking noise coming from inside the car. The noise never ever stops. What is this noise? How to make it stop? Also I'm trying to install my Keyless Entry system, and it's not working. Is this because of the ticking noise? Someone please help.

 

you need to get under the dash and find were its coming from. Or located the fuse and unplug each one till it stops. Then find out what on that circuit that could be causing this

x2... We're not mind readers here... You need to crawl up under there with a flashlight and find the source of said ticking...

And when you say that your keyless entry doesn't work, exactly what is happening or not happening? Now remember, when you respond, specifics are key here...

 

sounds like a relay's getting a signal and magnetizing. are ur lights flashing? doors locking? horn honking? i think that's all that the factory alarm does.

1- When is it "ticking", all the time, when key is turned to acc., when key is turned to run, when car is started?

2- Where under the dash is it comming from drivers side, pass. side, center?

3- Was it there, [ticking] before you tried to install key-less entry system, or after?

4- As already asked, what exactly is happening or not happening with the key-less, and what is the make and model of the key-less entry system? 94
