install on neuspeed race springs and koni yellows
i did a seach...i recieved my suspension in the mail used and there were no instructions with it...is it like a regular spring/shock installation? what procedures should i know in advance? will i need to cut the bump stops? this is for a 92 hatch....thanks for the help guys....
You'll need to cut the bumpstops in half at least. You may want to trim more off in your case so you have a little extra travel with those springs.
well i got a good deal on em so i got them...450 shipped...well...the situation got 100 times worse....my lca bolt broke off....first we tried drilling the bolt out....no luck....then tried sawing the bolt from in between the lca and the shock...still no luck...gonna keep trying...if anyone can help me out give me a holla...damn it

shoulda gone prokit/koni yellows
Right now I'm running Koni yellows with stock springs on my Si, and I am seriously considering getting prokits. What do they ride like?? I only am looking for about an inch drop, and want to maintain a comfortable ride, so does the prokit enhance cornering and control without sacrificing ride??

handling is improved much more with the prokit over stock. i think you'll like it a lot. i sure do. the 1.5in drop all around is just enuff to get rid of the wheel gap and looks very nice too.
ha man gotta love doing rear suspension work on 92-95 civic. the bushing is seized youll have to burn it out and press the new one in. unless you have one heck of a nice tool collection take it to a shop. good luck
What I did was saw the welded nut off (I was throwing away the shocks anyway), but I had to disassemble the brackets that hold the ABS wire and other small miscellaneous brake parts to maneuver the shock out. You're going to have to get the bushings pressed out at a machine shop...definitely not a do-it-yourself job. If they can't press it out, ask them to take a very strong air hammer to the metal edges of the bushing...that's how mine finally came out after using some rather large presses. If you want to go the easy route, just buy some used LCA's with the bushings still in them. It'll probably be the same price as the bushings brand-new.
yea...im convinced....i guess i'll take it to a shop...how much is it going to run me for the install? does anyone know a reputable place in south jersey? btw...i like the neuspeeds because of the spring rate

update....i removed the whole LCA and cut off the shock...im about to go get the bushing torched off...but now the other bolt is stuck....damn it....round 2...
Grind the head of the bolt off
Cut that side of the U bracket off at the bottom of the shock
Rotate the lca back and forth untill the bubber bushing has torn its self away from the metal bushing the bolt goes through. If this doen't work use a hole saw to cut the rubber from around it.
Pull the lca away from the shock.
Cut or torch the remaining rubber away from the outer metal sleave.
Take a hacksaw blade and cut a slot in the outside metal sleave (this releaves the pressure)
Tap the metal sleave out of the lca.
I install ES bushing in mine, they just slide in. It helps alot to have a vice to hold thing while you work on it.
If you need help installing the shocks let me know.

same problem with the older DC2s. (94-95) the bolt was rusted and seized in the lca sooo..they had to cut it out and i had to get new rear struts. but in the end...all turned out well.
and i thought it was abnormal.
had the same situation as yours. this was on the rear lca. me and my friend installed tokico 5-ways on my rs-r's. spring was too short. so we played around with the lca. then my 'light" went on. now i don't know how we did this, but between the three bolts on my rear lca, we installed the mid-bolt then the bolt next to the rotors, and finally on the innermost bolt, my friend pushed up on the lca using his legs, while i pushed the bolt in as fast as i could to where the hole would align to the lca, and voalah! lols... we actually did it. then set the 5-ways to 4.
