ok ladies and gentamen, ive got an obd0 B16a in a 91 std hatch, all the wiring looks to be good(i did it), but now i have a surging problem. if i put my fat finger over the iacv(bottom port) the surging goes away. i took the valve off and tried to clean it with brake clean. it still doing the same thing.


any ideas?

Tighten your idle screw. It only takes a minute and is worth a try. Done it for me a couple times.

 

tired that, its all the way in...ive also cleaned the TB
