Default Tranny fluid????

I have a 98 gsr tranny, and i put 10w30 in it and it seems to be making some noise(not alot)..what have u guys put in your tranny? The shifting is great but the little winding noise seems to bother me a bit. Ive heard the GM fluid and Honda MTF work the best..What do i use?

what do you mean what do you use?
Do you mean what should you use?

A lot of people are going to say to use genuine Honda MTF, but if there isnt a honda dealership close, just get GM syncromesh, supposedly it lessens grinds and stuff like that.

The GM Synchromesh Friction Modified $$$ version is the bandage for worn synchros. The regular Synchromesh is similar to Honda MTF.

if you hear a winding noise while accelerating it possibly is your throw out bearing. Fyi you could also use penzoil sychromesh, its almost the same as gm syncromesh.
