sorry, dudes.. new car, first oil change.. WHAT OIL FILTER!!
well, i wanted to try and do my own oil change.. and i was wondering if anyone can help me and let me know what oil filter will work for my '01 R.. well... sorry for the stupid *** posts, but i don't know where else to turn, thanks.
Well I would probably just use a OEM filter. (the one you buy at the dealer) Make sure you get the one made by Filtech. Another good alternative is the Mobil1 filter or Bosch. They are basically the same filter just the Mobil1 costs twice as much. The filter part number is M104.

survey says.... OEM
Anyone that drives a Honda should be privilaged enough to know that the OEM Honda filters "R" the best.

i'll look into it.. but where would i find all these filters.. i heard OEM from the dealer.. but another one is HAMP. where can i find that? where can i go to buy one.
http://www.inlinefour.com sells hamp filters for pretty cheap
for all concerned, there are three honda filters: japan-made, canadian and american. personally, there's a hamp in mine...its the closest to the jdm honda one.
