removing wing on Si and covering holes?
Anyone remove the rear wing off their new Si, sedan or coupe, and get the holes filled in by a body shop? just wondering how much it would cost.
Why don't you try to find someone with the same body as your car that doesn't have a wing (EX, LX owner) with the same color as your car and just do a trunk swap?

that is possible, but not if you have HRP or FBP.

and you would end up with the ex lip instead of a shaved trunk. shaved looks hot

Trunk swap would definately be easier, if you just take the wing off you would have to weld the holes shut, mud it, then paint it. And when painting it you would most likely need to blend your quarters due to color match.

bay area cops look for third brake light all day.
thats they're reason for pulling people over all day, esp. hatches.
if you remove the deck spoiler off of an EX will there be holes or just adhesive?

You do need the third brake light. Most states have it as a law.
But this wouldn't be too hard. you could find one from a donor car (another make/model that has one), and install it in the back. I'm sure depending on the part, only minor fabrication may be needed (color match, secure to back panel, etc).
I mean, like WihaSi said, the process of prepping, painting and what not will not be cheap and the color matching may be an issue, depending on your body tech.

i took my wing off about a month ago now, and have covered the holes.. dont plan on filling it either.. if you trade trunks with someone, then what are you going to do about resale?
so i tried to find a third brake light fix for the sedan, but the site doesn't list the price for #25

i have a question (re: SEDAN)- the little lip that's on the hybrids, how is that attached to the trunk? anhyone know if they share holes? seems like they possibly could. i'd love to have that little lip spoiler than the trunk instead of the si one i have. 3rd brake light isn't an issue...
I was looking into spoiler options for my 4dr EX and took a close look at some of the wings.
The hybrid spoiler had two bolts on the outside and 2 clips in the inside that are spaced along near the middle of the lip, nowhere near the bolt locations of either accessory spoiler or stock SI spoiler
The stock SI spoiler and the accessory wing spoiler share holes on the outside edges of the trunk but has 2 more holes for bolts and 5 more for clips drilled in the trunk
The accessory low spoiler has two bolts that need holes drilled in the middle of the trunk and the rest is held in place by tape. I think the SI spoiler holes on the outside of the trunk are drilled too far up and wont be covered.
Hope that helps some.
