Default How much would you pay for this 04 civic?

I'm about to buy an 04 LX Coupe for a DD instead of my CRX. Well its a long story about the car but a relative has it now but the car has been neglected. My main concern is when I checked the oil none appeared on the dipstick at all. But after it idled for a few seconds there was oil splashed up on the dipstick but It was more like sludge. The car has 40k miles on it. The front end has some slight damage but just needs a new hood, rad. support and everything measured out to be straight. Here are some pics:

ang even then that sludge is something to worry about. Sludge means the oil changes were surely neglected and ridding of it is not easy. I personally would just stay away from it since hondas are so plentiful.

IMO i wouldnt buy it, this car doesnt look to be in good shape and I'm guessing has higher mileage then it should have by this time. you can get other civics for a good price, let this one go.

if you can get it for cheap it would be a nice pickup. K20 it.

think of it as a lightweight RSX. everything bolts up and they weigh 2400lbs.

Im pretty sure I can get it cheap. I just need to name a price and Im looking for something fair. Its my aunts car. I changed to oil and filter and took it for a nice test drive. It seemed to run fine no smoke/knocks/pings/hesitation and so forth. I priced out what it would take to get it back up to looking good and Honda manual maintenance spec and it looked to be about a grand. With that in mind can anyone give me a price to give her? Thats for the opinions so far. There may be a k20 swap in the future when Im done redoing my CRX and build up some more cash. H22 CRX and K20 civic would be nice. Ha.

a neglected civic with only 40k miles should be fine motor wise and as far as the price kbb is 12,775 so anything under 10k is good and 9k and under is even better... buy a hood and drive that ****.. actuallyl on second thought thats a lot of money to play with rather than being a 04 ciivc

I'm pretty sure I can get it for less than 9000. Really all I need to do is name a price. I want a newer car. After having a swapped CRX and that its modified pretty good I'm tired of the problems. Every time its something new. I'm soon to be be driving far to work every day and need something reliable. Thanks for the opinions. 5200 seems low to me but thats why I'm asking on here you guys know more about values of cars than I do.
