Default S2k or 350z?

hello fellow S2k owners, i have never posted here b4, but my friend is in the market for a car. He has narrowed it down to 350z or s2k...What are some problems ppl have seen on the S2k so far? Also wat are areas prone to problems on the S2k that we should look for? Are there any leaks from the tops? Also, why did you choose an S2k over a 350z?

i've read that the 03-05 transmissions are pieces of sh*t on the 350's. the earlier model also had a known problem as "tire feathering" which can be fixed by getting an alignment every six months or so. also, a lot of owners are having problems with the passenger window not working. i'm actually in the process of going through the 350z vs. s2k for my next car, and even though 350z would definitely be a great choice for a daily driver (torque and extra trunk space), i think the transmission problem glares out way too much for me to consider it a good choice, esp. if you're buyign used.

The S2000 is a pretty extreme car that appeals only to a handful of enthusiasts. These are people that know exactly what they want in a car, and are more than willing to live with the negative aspects of having these qualities.

Chances are, if your friend isn't sure whether he wants the 350z or the S2000, the S2000 isn't for him.

my cousin has a 350z. its nice but i am bias since i love my s2k. if you want a little bit more space and a bose sound system then go for the z. if you TRUE performance then go for the s2k

if you are not hardcore about tracking your car, the z would be a better/softer/comforty dd.

search around there, more than 2 million posts about 350z vs s2k.

I personally think that the s2000 is a WAY sexier car. I like the z for the power it

has. I also like the Z because it is rear happy and the more torque makes it easy

to drive (for me). The S I pull up to shows/clubs and get a better apperance

reaction with. I did take out a lot fo Z's with the S but theres some thats just

pulls away. I just think the drivers can't drive them.

If I could go back... I should have gotten an S2000 over a 350z..... Im still happy with the Z, but theres something about the S2000 thats so damn sexy.

actually..scratch that. .I shoulda gotten a Z roadster.. oh well.

main tipping point for the S2000 is the convertible top... the roof on my 350z coupe does not come off no matter how hard I try
