Default DVD Install???

Look I just got a TYPE-S 02 with 25K on it. The performance stuff is on the way but I can not stand the stock stereo it is bose and it still sucks. I'm looking to install a DVD player like this

But I can't find it anywhere or any install info on it. HBO (help a brother out)

Look, that's nothing more than a double DIN screen installed in the factory location.

However, since your car is Bose-equipped, it's not a simple plug-and-play installation. You will need to bypass the factory amp, and replace speakers if they're the low-impedence units that Bose generally likes to use.

You will also need the appropriate dash kit & wiring harness for your vehicle. Dash kit: http://www.aius.net/proddetails.asp?ID=195

My bigger problem was finding the actual DVD screen crutchfield.com offers alot of in dash dvd players with a flip out screen but I'm under the impression i need something differant. I don't think I can use just any screen I think I need a certain one that I can't find.

All you need is a Double DIN screen. There's no other ways to explain it.

hell that not even a radio or a cd player. Thats a screen providing a view of what ever is being sent to it. That is a custom install and has more to it. There has to be a radio or a brain somewere else.

True, however, he said he wanted a screen like that one... And one like that one would be a double DIN unit.

yea I want the brain the set up that guy had it looked like the flip out screen from like a kenwood or something just with out the head unit deck. Do they even sell such a thing. Your saying it is a custom install, it looks so much better then a flip out screen I had a flip out in my VW not fun if the motor craps out on you

As I've stated twice now, you can get a double din unit to look like that picture...

You don't need a unit with a separate brain..

This link is the last thing I'm going to post if you're going to continue ignoring what I'm telling you. It's a listing of 7 units that will fit your car without modification.

Never said it looked like one. Hell I have one right here. Had the dam thing before it even came out.

The unit can be matched to all most any dash or car color. Now if pioneer can get there head out of there azzes and ship these things out the world might be a better place, lol. There treating this unit like the ps3. I have 8 sold and can't even get them out I allready heard of bad batches on ebay
