got bored today and i had my girlfriends car while she was at school/work so i thought id do a little experimenting. she bought a white ej1 not too long ago and i gave her a set of fat fives that i had lying around and i thought id spice things up a bit

this is how it looked before


the lip around the edge was pretty beat and i didnt even bother sanding it. this was just a trial too see how it came out and i think they came out pretty decent for $15 worth of spray paint

how it is now thought id try something different. im probably gonna end up getting a new valve cover anyways because the kid i bought the head from cut off the cover that goes over the cam gears

Wheels look like they came out alright considering the lack of prep work, but damn that's what I call high rollin!

 

Why didn't you mask the tires from getting painted?

the wheels were kind of a test subject i guess? when my girl gets new tires either this week or next im actually going to wash em, sand them, sand down that lip thats beat too hell and repaint them and actually TRY too make them look good. i honestly didnt expect them to come out as good as they did.

Hmm just not my style, the RNR/time attack look is old, and the car needs a drop.

I hope when you get the new tires, the paint isnt all scratched up. You might have to do the lips again.

Wheels look really cool imo. The anodized red looks way better then just plain red. from me.

i do like the wheels, i think they'd look better if my car was either black or red .. soo when i have some money saved up i think thats what im going to do... but im not sure which color would look better..?
