Default Cam selection - need help

Aight I think I'm gonna ditch my BC spec3+'s just a bit to small for what I've got I think.

LSV
b18 block, weisco 12.1 and eagle rods, stock crank
b16 head, all BC valve train, rc 440's, blox intake mani, rage header.

It currently put down 202 at my first dyno session. I think its just undercam'd. Well thats what everyone tells me anyways.

So I have be told to try out some skunks, stg 2.
Anyone else got any input as to what would work good for me?

ps- its my daily driver so I like an aggressive cam, but nothing stupid that will drive me nuts trying to get to work in traffic

Seems to be what people keep suggesting.

Anyone know a price on those?

What about RM, I've heard nothing but good about them.

Also anyway know how good my piston clearance will be on a
LS block
12:1
B16 head
BC valve train
Would it be ok to tweak the gears a bit?

yeah, on bigger or more radical set ups....... from undercammed to overcammed...the new HT trend. anyway, i'd recommend the BC4's. or, blox b for the cheap asses (like me). BC4's are my all time fav. P1 are good, but, BC4's will still outperform them in vtec. all of the S2 nutswingers will tell you different, but, its out there....if you search, you'll see BC4's own. i honestly believe BC4's are the best cams available for us...period.

Blox HSL. they are a copy of the S2S3, and if they dont make more power, youre only out 300ish bucks new.

if you go BC4, go to the same dyno and see if you can have the guy give you a chart when you leave with the BC3 and BC4 best pulls on top of each other on one chart. id like to see that.

something doesnt seem right. i cant imagine the 3+ just falling off at 7400rpms and they BC4 basically just pickign up where they left off.

the skunk2 pro series cams are better than the bc4's..

if i were you picking out a cam i would go for the skunk2 pro2's they will have great power through out the powerband.

i run pro3's in my engine.

so tell me the advantages that the bc4's would have over the pro series cams.

they could possibly make a little more peak power than the pro1's but if you were going for peak than you would go for the pro2 or pro3.

that seems to be typical from the few bcIII+ dyno's i've seen. they dont have a lot of topend.

Exactly, there have been numerous dyno's in the past that show the 4's continue pulling where the 3+'s die off.

Personally, BC4's all the way. The Pro 1's will do well, but they don't idle well. Some people claim that they idle "like stock" however from my personal experience, I would have to disagree.

bc3's are not designed to make power on top end. they work with smaller less aggressive engines.

pro1's can be made to idle perfect if you have proper engine management to make them do so. if you do not have the ability to tune than the pro series are not for you.

this thread is filled with opinion, not fact. some people like BC4, some like to overcam 1.8's with S2P2...other 1.8's make 190whp with CTR cams and an SMS header. go figure

its coming.....i got my stopwatch ready, again

Personal experience is cool with me, as long as you know what your talking about post away. The more comments the better.
