hey i got a 99 civic ex and my friend wants to sell me a ls- VTECH motor and i was just wondering if that would fit in my car now this ls-vtech came from my friends 95 civic dx and if this didnt directly fit what modifications would i need to do ?

First off, it's VTEC, not vtech.

If it's in a DX than it already has the B series mounts, the motor itself will drop in 100%. You'll need OBD-IIB dizzy or rip the guts out of the LS/VTEC dizzy and put 'em in a OBD-IIB casing (or simply re-wire an OBD-II plug onto it). You'll need an OBD-IIB to OBD-I ECU conversion harness so the ECU will plug in. I also think you'll need OBD-II injectors so it'll plug into your harness.

The dizzy plug is rewireable, easy, 6 wires, the OBD-IIb to OBD-I harness is like 70 last time I saw one, and the injectors are cheap if they're the stock 240's.

The B series axles and mounts will work in ur car, as for the shift linkage, I'm not sure.

It's a pretty straight forward swap.
