Default a few questions on some bolt ons and there affects!

I am thinking about getting a light flywheel for my LS and i just wanted to know if it will kill the torque on it? I have heard both sides and am conserned about investing the money for one and not be pleased. I will also be buying a intake manifold and think i will go with blox. Any help or comments are appreciated

You ran a 14.3 on a I, H, E only LS? If so, very nice. Are you still using the stock LS long geared tranny? If not, your tranny should be at the top of your mod list since it does more than the rest of your mods. Oh, what car are you running this in?

As for the lightweight flywheel. I have close to the same setup as you, I, H, E on my stock B18A1 with 303K miles and stock tranny. I installed a Fidanza 7.5 lb flywheel with my Stage 1 clutch and I love it. Quicker rev matching, quicker acceleration, with no negatives at all.

I drive plenty of city miles with bumper to bumper traffic, and there is no problem. I still have a solid 750 idle also, even with A/C running. At the track, you will have to relearn the clutch modulation at the holeshot, a little more throttle, but you sound like you won't have a problem with the way you drive.

Maybe all the guys that whine about the loss of torque drive B16s or something with less torque to begin with, or are running 3 puck clutches that aren't too friendly.

thanks man. its a 92 civic VX. 2250w/me. and the trans is a homemade special! . 99 si 1st through 5th LS final drive and diff. i just went to the track on opening day and it went a 14.9 @ 91 but it didnt 60" very well. i just want to get it to a possible 14.2 or better consistantly. a friend of mine had the exact same car as me but it had a gsr tranny and a type r flywheel. i drove that to a 14.09 @ 96mph! his car was a little bit lighter than mine also.
