Default Project: Dirty South BB2

Hey there, got this BB2 back in August in this shape. Paid $3,100 cash for it in Jacksonville. This is my very first car as well so everything I know about car is from experience from working on this Prelude.

Rice Rice Baby

LIGHT WEIGHT CARBON FIBER SHIFTKNOB YO! and horrible shift boot

Lol, side skirts and rear lip makes it appear low to the ground.. pft

Isn't this Si symbol from a ep3? hahahaha

After a few months of embarassment of driving around like that I decided to get a OEM bumper for a clean trade for the Wings West Big Mouth Bumper

Oh my sexy.

Decided to get rid of the back seats and discovered this while remove the rear side panels.. ABS BRAIN!!! This thing must weigh a ton, ah too bad i'm keeping it.

Disgusting, if you can't tell theres yellow mold growing back there

Decided to dye the cloth panels on the rear interior panels black.. Hmm duplicolor for the win... CLEAN

Look what ups brought me :DDD, too bad those ngk plugs were the wrong ones so I sent it back for a refund.

Test fit for the bumper, ewwww i need jdm 1pc's bad and a new oem hood.

Oh damn, new oem shift boot AND mfactory weighted shift ****.. = sex. too bad i already ripped the oem shift boot around the ring.. someone had it on too tight Oh well i'll restaple it soon

Updates coming soon of what i did last night and this morning!!

Wiring up my bumper lights so I can drive legally around town :D, it was a pain doing this at night too with a little flood lamp lol

Started to knock off the sound deadner

removed the sex blocker in the rear, start to chisel some more :D

look at all that gunk.... hey! is that a quarter?

Almost there!!!

these backseat clamps took like 10 mins to take off god damn

finally.

Sneak peak of the h23 power house, DONT HATE!! :D Removed the ps resevoir bracket, and misc brackets and resprayed them gloss black you can tell by looking at the radiator bracket.

do you already have the GT3's in your posession? Id rock the stockers over those played out wheels. The red/polished lip rotas are getting old IMHO.

On another note...your car is really comming together.

Haven't got the gt3's yet. I want a set of gt'3 but I can't pick out the color.. maybe the gold ones?

Here is alist of things I want to do in order for the next few weeks.

- Pick up spring compressor from autozone so I can install my H&R Race springs xxxdonexxx
- Pull the old carpet out and remove the sound deadner under there.
- Sand down the areas where the sound deadner was removed
- Primer it down and get ready for gloss black spray in there :D
- Clean down the OEM carpet, because I am keeping it and using black frabric spray to restore it
- Spray the rear cloth deck with black frabric spray
- Install the carpet back into the car
- Look for someone to sell me a cheap 93-96 vtec console with e-brake and cables!! haha and sell my Si Console.
- Wait for my EGR and SAV block off plates to arrive
- Remove ALL EGR components
- Remove EVAP canister and lines (no emissions here) might do this tommorrow actually

Thanks, I am getting the interior rebuild out of the way first. If anyone has any opinions on the interior shoot some ideas.. most of this ideas I have done have originated from other's peoples builds on HT!!! Not going too big on the interior this time around.. Since it is a budget build for a 17 y/o :D.

Very awesome. Why aren't you using dry ice to aid in the removal of the sound deadening tar in the back?

Hmm I was thinking about it but since i was broke I decided to take a broken ratchet because I couldn't find my hammer and a long flat head screw driver.. it works but I guess its quicker with dry ice eh? haha

just fixed my upper control arm, one of the mounts had a stripped thread so I bought a die for it which was m10x1.25 and rethreaded it and finally got the suspension mounted... this is how it sits as of now

tucking front tires.

cool pic only if we had a better camera lol

my friends eg6 in the back.

I plan on ordering some koni yellows for the front for now untill I can afford the rears.. not to mention my bump stops were HISTORY they looked like pink erasers and they were cracked and hard as a rock.. one of them crumbled in my hand like powder. i am pretty sure my front one are gone too because i didn't see any.. so i have energy bump stops on the way.
