will a 06 civic si muffler fit the civic eg hatch someone lmk n what is the inlet on this muffler.

Trying to get one for my ek. Replace the fart can I have now.

 

I have an 06 Si muffler on my Sol. The inlet is 2.25". The "over the axle" pipe and the hangers had to be modified. It sits about 2" too far right to fit perfectly in the exhaust cutout. We put it as close to the subframe as possible without rubbing. But that cutout is so small on a Sol bumper that it's not even noticeable. I can't remember how big yours is.

Overall, I love it. Sweet OEM tip, deep tone, no rasp, only a little louder than stock.

 

I have one sitting under my bed to be put onto my EG. I just measured the inlet and it's 2.25".

 

so whats up the type s is better than the si one or just the way it sits under the car please lmk

I believe they are the same, just different tips. I don't really like the oval tip of the Si muffler and would trade anybody with an RSX tip for my Si tip.

 

going with this exhuast si one trying it look i have ls with dc4-1 n aem intake n flyhweel stage 2 clutch tock internals but im using hte stock piping off my hatch which is 1.7 with cat n stock muiffler after 5k doent want to pull anymore like losing power. So by using the si muffler n resoator will this increase power n performance lmk no cat just test pipe

 

yeah it will help a "little" bit in the higher rpm's... but it won't be like a kick in the pants or anything.

It will do the same as any other 2.25 exhaust. It's the right size for what you have, but all of the SOHCs run out of power in the higher RPMs. And it sounds like you're talking about using the B-pipe, too. I have no idea what it will take to make that fit.

I don't have any pics of my muffler yet. Need to get some...

 

just put the muffler on n it sounds good looks pretty nice too

 

take it to a muffler shop, they'll make it happen.

 

yeah i def like the rsx type s tip a lil better.. cant really comment on the sound/performance. how would a type s muffler do on turbo app?

 

Yeah I cant wait to put my 06 Si muffler on my 4-door.
Gonna be a wonderful sound.
