If your keeping your car & ECU OBD-1, then you will only need the primary O2 sensor (the one before the cat). If your converting the car to OBD-0, then you will need to wire it up however the OBD-0 ECU works...

Im staying obd-1 but if im not mistaken they are both before the cat. Thats why i was wondering if one was a primary and one was a secondary.

He is saying his motor is OBD-0 and it has two O2 sensors before the cat. He wants to know which one he should keep. I would probably keep the front one, or whichever one had 5 wires on it. If both have 5 wires (or the same number of wires), then I would just keep the one that was in or just past the collector of the header...

damn, nothing hard about this one.
obd0 ecu being used (doubt it but hey) single 1 wire o2
obd1 ecu being used (most likely) single 4 wire heated o2
obd2 ecu being used (less likely, but possible) 2 4 wire heated o2s, one upstream, one downstream, upstream being closest to the cylinder head and being the primary. both will be needed to keep a code from being stored and the CEL from illuminating.
