Default Transmisson or cluth problems?

I need some help figuring out what’s going on with my 98 GSR 160,00km on it.

I was going to take it out from its winter rest this week and started some work on it, when I stored it for the winter it had some clutch or transmission problems and I need to know what it could be.

Some of the symptoms

-when I release the clutch I hear a whining sound

-the slave cylinder is squeaks but has no leaks

-In reverse when its in gear then car start to roll back and that’s fine, but when I press the clutch in the car should keep on rolling but it seems like its not releasing and just stops.

-Problems going the car into 1st and 2nd still goes in but not very smooth

-1st gear is very jerky when the clutch first starts to grip, but after it grips it seems to hold strong no slipping.

I started to bleed the line to see if any air got in but it looked good, the fluid was very dirty but I think that’s normal.
I’ll drain the transmission fluid tomorrow and fill it with some fresh stuff to see if that will help in any way..

If anyone has seen this before please let me know, or any suggestions would be helpful.

i would just do a clutch job. replace throw out bearing, pilot bearing, disc and pressure plate. cuz it sounds like the t-out bearing is dry. the only way to lube it is to take the trans out and if you're doing that, might as well replace all above parts. and please dont forget to lube splines with a good lasting grease. urea or wheel bearing grease work pretty well and honda has a grease called moly 66, its in a tube and u can buy from any honda/acura dealer. its used for engine assembly, wheel bearings, any honda bearings, hinges, back of brake pads and etc. goodluck

When I replace the clutch is it a good idea to replace the flywheel also? I don't race the car, mostly just drive it to work and back. I'm also looking for the same feel in a replacement clutch would the Exedy stage 1 be a good fit?

depends on how the surface of the flywheel looks, if it has heat spots in it "honda says to replace it" but i have heard of other ppl resurfacing it if cost is an issue, i wouldn't recommed it. I would just replace if it looks worn or deep heat spots are on the surface. also when u replace the pilot bearing, take a look at the rear main seal, seems to also be overlooked and might as well replace now than later when the trans is back in.
