i have a dirty k&n filter. wats the best way to wash it? jus run water throuigh it or drench it in a bucket? do i use soap? or just water? this is a simple noob question, just wondering wats the best way to clean a filter.

 

Rinse it from the clean side to out - not too strong a stream either.
You can get a "filter recharge" kit that includes a cleaner spray and filter oil at a parts store.
Oil is needed to catch particulates
