Default Leakproof tubing fittings for gauges?

I'm so sick of these retarded 1/16" nylon tubing compression fittings leaking. Only about 1 out of 5 seal up because the inner ferrell gets cocked sideways when you tighten them down. These are what I'm referring to:

There has to be some alternative to this. I've never really trusted this crap for oil pressure gauges anyway. Please tell me there is an alternative non leak fitting. I don't like the idea of going up to 1/4" line just to get a decent style fitting that won't leak so I can feed a gauge.

Ive had my oil pressure gauge for about 6 years now with nylon tubing that came with the autometer gauge and it hasnt failed or leaked at all.

You mean with a 1/8" npt to -3 jic adapter? Are you having to run the braided hose for that?

Can anyone verify that Mcmaster-Carr part# 5220K61 is correct?

These are supposedly the self aligning compression adapters for 1/8" OD line.
