Anyone confirm this? Seems awfully low, like stalling. I don't remember my R going much below 2000 rpm, except for idle. Whenever I check my instruments at a simlar relaxed leisurely pace, my R is actually 10 mph faster and 1000 rpm higher than my CRX would be...must be the light flywheel...

why would you be in 5th at 40? i'd probably be in 4th max, more likely 3rd....D would be in 2nd, cruising like a jacknob and getting warning tickets.

Well I'm pretty sure that at 3000 rpm's in fourth i am going forty, so fifth maybe 2200??? This is not low enough to stall. once you get around 1300, then it will stall. If i were you I would chill in fourth though if you want to save the most gas. Too low rpm = waste of gas. too high rpm = waste of gas. Street driving hang around 3-4000

why would too low of an rpm waste more gas than higher rpm's? i've never heard of that before.
