I got 95 hatch dx.. just bought a sohc vtec swap. 1. Got everything out but the passenger side axle bolt.. wont budge..tried torch, impact, beating the sht out of it. advice? 2. All I have is the long block plus all my old parts from my 1.5 non vtec. what will I need to finish it? I think my tranny will work, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, and other odds and ends. I have a vtec solenoid but its from a b16a2. Will my dizzy work? Hit me back with advice..I need it badly.. thanks

Scroll down and read in that thread. really good info regarding your swap. Everything answered. Btw, most things you'll find by searching.

Umm, for that axle nut make sure the car is on the ground and try usin a breaker bar and about a 4 or 5 foot pipe. Any tranny from a D series should get you right but everyone says to use the ex/si tranny. I dunno about the vtec solenoid from the b16, but the exhuast manifold, intake manifold, sensors, and other misc. parts should bolt right up. Oh, and na that dizzy ain't gonna work unless you buy a conversion bracket. You're better off buyin a new one. I overnighted one off ebay for 128. And i believe you're gonna need a P28 ecu. Anyone can correct me if i'm wrong, as this was my first swap.

oops I thought he said a DOHC swap.

Anyways, I just finished my swap and that axle nut is a bitch. just get the tools from autozone and slip a pipe on it. Break that bitch loose.
