Default Balance shaft Removal??????s

I wanted to know how hard is it to do this modification while the motor is still in the car? if its possible is there a DIY for this while the motor is still in the car?

complete removal like pull them out? I don't think you can do it while its in the car.

You can always just pull the belt and not run them. Thats simple to do.

I talked to reid at Kaizenspeed and he said removing the balance shafts while the motor is in the car has been done. When i removed mine it was out of the car and on an engine stand and it was still quite a bit of work.

Seems like a wasted effort for a daily driven car. Reading the article you might only gain a few whp.

and drop rotating assembly weight. From what i have read, they are good for ~8whp. If you have the engine apart already, 125 shipped is pocket change to remove them.......might as well. Dunno if I would do it with the engine in the car.
